After a wee break we are back near Edinburgh for the Pentlands Pursuit – 20th June, based at the Currie Rugby Club in Balerno.

The usual mix of trails, hills and flat bits are to be expected along with some tasty home made soup and a selection of home baking included in the entry price.

We even have a qualified massage therapist onsite offering a post ride massage. So bring £5 along in case you feel like a 15 minute massage, yes, only a fiver!

Entries through BMBO – it is free to join and the BMBO insurance enables us to run these events at bargain prices.

So how does this Mountain Bike Orienteering work then?

We are hoping to see some new faces so if you have not tried this before come along and give it a go. What is better than spending a few hours on your bike?

If you want an idea of the sort of area you may cover here is a map of the the proposed area. As with most things in life, this is subject to change! Though what we can say is that check points will be placed on obvious map features like bridges, track junctions or corners of wooded areas. i.e. we're not hiding the checkpoints. We'll also make sure there are enough checkpoints and with reasonable value on the lower ground and accessible from the Rugby Club fo rthe Junior and Generation riders.
