Greenrig Cycles

Our Start/Finish is just outside the LBS, Greenrig Cycles. They’re kindly providing access to mains power so we don’t need to run a generator for the timing gear or warm the soup.

Another great advantage is that they have a fully tooled up workshop so if you have any mechanical issues you spot as you arrive or whilst out on the first half of the event then there’s still hope.

They also stock a range of clothing so if you forget something or it rains and your gloves get wet you can also pop in to buy a second pair for the night stage. In addition, they have a selection of energy bars and gels for those who need a boost.

Support your local bike shop!

Bespoke Community Development Company

Bespoke Community Development Company is a company owned by members from the local community, largely from the Falkirk area. Their mission is to carry out activities which benefit the community and in particular to promote the sustainable development of outdoor leisure and recreational facilities in the Falkirk area including the operation, maintenance, development, improvement and promotion of the public access network in the Falkirk area.

All good stuff so we’re putting any profit from this event back into the team that help build, maintain and develop the trails in the area. Your entry fee will cover not only Insurance, Maps, Catering, etc. but anything left over will go back into the trails/local area. Feel free to donate on the day and we’ll make sure the money goes to a good cause.

Massage Therapy By Helen

I am a qualified and SMTO (Scottish Massage Therapist Organisation) registered Massage Therapist. I work with clients in a home-based therapy room and also visit their homes. I also provide pre- and post-event massage to hard-working muscles at sports events; some of this is independent work and some through Athlete’s Angels.

I am currently studying for a diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage Therapy which will allow me to better assess and target treatments for specific injuries or issues. I find the anatomy, research and the new techniques really exciting, but still extol the virtues of a regular full-body massage for relaxation and a general health boost.

I am focussing on studying and getting stronger so I can more effectively treat my clients and help them feel balanced, pain-free and relaxed.

Event massage can be beneficial for:

  • Reducing the risk of DOMS (tomorrow’s sore legs)
  • Reducing swelling and promoting faster healing
  • Spreading muscle fibres and lengthening tight muscles
  • Helping mental preparation before and recovery after

Special Event Price of £5 for a 15 minute session
